Akash Goel, a partner at venture debt firm Trifecta Capital, has left the firm almost three years after joining, according to reports this wek. Goel’s exit comes shortly after Trifecta’s final close of its second fund, Trifecta Venture Debt Fund-II at INR 1,025 Cr (roughly $150 Mn).
Goel is said to have communicated his decision to leave Trifecta a few months ago, with plans to launch a new startup. Prior to joining Trifecta, Goel worked with Bessemer Venture Partners, where he led investments into BigBasket, Pharmeasy and Urban Company. The venture debt firm also has investments in these firms.
Trifecta Capital confirmed Goel’s departure. company had hired Goldman Sachs executive Lavanya Ashok as Partner in October 2020 to oversee Trifecta’s speculated expansion into equity investments. Trifecta has already invested INR 900 Cr across 38 companies and with a provision to recycle capital, it has an investible corpus of up to INR 2,560 Cr.
Delhivery Appoints Pooja Gupta As Chief People Officer
Logistics tech unicorn Delhivery has brought on Pooja Gupta to its executive-level leadership team as the chief people officer. Gupta joins the company with over 18 years of experience in different geographies and industries, including stints at SAP, Myntra and Kalaari Capital. Gupta will work with the senior leadership on organisation design and systems, developing strategic HR programs and policies, and strengthening employee experience.

Tata Consumer Products Gets New Chief Digital Officer
Tata Consumer Products (TCP), the consumer products arm of the Tata Group, which operates its food and beverage brands has appointed TV Swaminathan as its global chief digital officer (CDO). Swaminathan will be responsible for charting out and executing a digital roadmap for the company, possibly aligning it with the company’s plans to launch a super app integrating its various divisions.
Swaminathan will enable the business from a digital perspective, as well as enhance its analytical capabilities, while leading the development and execution of its digital vision. He joins TCP with 24 years of experience at Nissan Motors, General Electric (GE), Accenture and Servion Global Solutions during his career.
GreyOrange Gets New Chief People Officer
Automation and industrial robotics company GreyOrange has announced the appointment of Ramya Sampath Sharma as the chief people officer (CPO). Sharma will be responsible for developing and leading human resource strategies to support GreyOrange’s global growth, including global talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR data and analytics and culture.
She joins the company from Microland, where too she was leading the HR role. She has prior experience with Accenture Technology, and Intel, and she holds an MBA from Xavier’s Labour Relations Institute (XLRI).
